VPS FAQ Answers :)

Read through and get to know additional information before placing your VPS order. A Virtual Private Server is an independent, virtual partition on a physical server. This provides clients with highly reliable and stable hosting environment, with guaranteed resource allocation and high availability. For quick answers please read through the below list of Frequently Asked Questions on our VPS plans.

We're always happy to work with clients who stick to us for long-term. With long-term billing we get better prices from our datacentre and the savings is passed on to you. You can also save more on six months and one year billing cycles. For Half-Yearly billing you get an additional discount of 5% and on Annual billing you get 10% discounted.

No, this is a "Self-Managed" VPS plan and you need to manage the VPS by yourself. Only the operating system will be installed and we will provide you with the root username and password, beyond that it is up to you to take control of your VPS server and configure it. To understand the difference between Self-Managed vs Fully-Managed VPS plans click here. For cPanel/WHM installation please read the next topic.

If you have already purchased your cPanel/WHM licence then we can install and configure cPanel and CSF firewall on your VPS. During the checkout process please choose the "CentOS with cPanel" template and we will manually install cPanel/WHM on your VPS. Since this is a Self-Managed server, anything beyond cPanel/WHM installation has to be directly managed/maintained by you. Currently we do not offer cPanel/WHM licences, please click here to purchase your cPanel/WHM licence.

The VPS comes with an operating system that was chosen by you during sign-up. If you wish to change your operating system or wish to reinstall the operating system then please submit a support ticket and we will do it for you.

Unfortunately for security reasons the VPS management console has been disabled. All requests relating to OS re-installs or manual reboots has to be requested only through a support ticket. There are no limitations to the number of requests that you can make and we can do this any number of times for you.

The VPS server will be setup in 3 hours after your payment is verified. During weekends please allow additional 3 hours time for the setup process. You may open a support ticket if you require an urgent setup. If you have chosen cPanel/WHM, please allow additional time to manually install and update cPanel/WHM.

The VPS server comes with one IPv4 IP address and one IPv6 subnet (/64). You can add up to 20 IP addresses per VPS. Additional IP addresses are charged at: $2 per month per IP address, billed quarterly. Please submit a support ticket requesting for additional IPs and we'll send an invoice.

Yes and No, (Please read this carefully) the CPU cores are assigned through a KVM virtualization, so the virtual CPU cores are shared with multiple VPSs on the server. So there is a fair use limit when it comes to constant CPU usage. You are allowed to use 70% to 100% of virtual CPU cores for not more than 90 seconds, but you are allowed to use upto 40% of CPU cores constantly without limits. The NVMe SSD disk space and bandwidth transfer do not have fair use limits.

Yes, the sFTP backup storage space is provided absolutely free to all our VPS clients. You can store and retrieve backups onto this remote server, that ensures an additional layer of protection to your important files and data from your VPS. If you wish to use the server for cPanel/WHM you can configure remote sFTP backups to dump your website backups on to this remote storage space.

The bandwidth transfer between your VPS and the backup sFTP server is "Unlimited" and there are no limits to move data between these two servers. But if you wish to transfer your files from another network or from your local computer, we have a Bandwidth Transfer limit for outside networks, set to 1TB per month. This limit is in place to prevent users from abusing the backup sFTP server for remote file storage purposes. The sFTP server should be primarily used for backing up your VPS data.

Yes, you are allowed to store your personal and important files on to the sFTP server. As mentioned in the previous topic, if you reach your 1TB transfer limit for the month, your access to the backup server will be limited, but do not worry, your VPS backups will still continue to operate and store files on the backup server, because the internal network bandwidth transfer limit is "Unlimited". If you need a temporary increase in the bandwidth transfer limit for outside networks, please submit a ticket and our support team can increase it for you.

The KVM virtualization that we use has a snapshot image feature, that can take a snapshot of the state, disk data, and configuration of a VPS at a specific point in time. We can then easily revert the VPS back to any of the previous state by just applying the snapshot. The snapshot image cannot be downloaded by the user but will be stored in the KVM and not on the backup server. While creating a snapshot, the VPS needs to be shutdown to create an error free snapshot image. The snapshot can only be created or restored by the KVM network administrator, so please open a support ticket to create a snapshot.

Yes, we offer Self-Managed Windows VPS plans but we do not have with the above configuration that we offer for Linux OS. So please submit a support ticket with your requirements/configuration and we can send you a custom Windows VPS quote. Please note all Windows VPS prices are also billed quarterly and not monthly.

Yes, we do offer custom VPS plans and dedicated server options. Custom VPS plan can be only offered for higher VPS configurations and we do not offer a custom plan for Small or Micro VPS Configurations. If you need a dedicated server please open a support ticket with your requirements and we can offer you a competitive quote and will beat any market price, GUARANTEED!
